In a Black Tie and most anticipated event under the theme “A taste of the Bahamas through Elegance”, the already determined sold out gala event , will showcase eighteen (18) daughters of promise as they take to the stage in a fierce battle for the most covetous pageant crown in Bahamian history. Organizers, Bahamians and the world alike are watching to see who is being chosen the most envy Bahamian Beauty queen of this decade. All due to the fact, that this year official Bahamian Beauty Ambassador will play host to the 80 plus international beauties and one (1) billion viewers worldwide while being the most soughed contestant by the worldwide media in the promotion of the Bahamas at the 58th Annual Miss Universe Pageant being held here in the Bahamas August  23rd, 2009.

In preparing for this grand demand the official media sponsor of the 2009 Miss Bahamas Beauty Pageant, ZNS will broadcast live on May 24th via television and through the corporation's streaming worldwide web (www.zns.com) reaching millions of viewers worldwide, as the world waits the crowning of the host country queen. This is a first in the history of pageantry in our country.

The Pageant promises to be the talk of the town for times to come with guest artist
Ta'Da (Terneille Burrows) being featured in the opening number along with many of the former Miss Bahamas beauty queens and the 2009 contestants strutting to the pulsating beats of the renown Bahamian Artist.

The evening continues with display of National Costumes by the contestants and the first round of eliminations to the top 15. The lucky fifteen (15) will then showcase their chiseled bodies while perfecting catwalk techniques in an attempt to wow the Judges and make it in the top 10.

The best of the best will survive and move a little closer to the crown with the Judges’ selection of the top ten (10) competing in an evening gown segment. The focus here is to present a more poise, elegant and confident appeal to the Judges in a gown that gives chills. The young ladies mastering this art will then be chosen among the top five (5). The Judges will finally test beauty and brains while this group of prevailing beauties put their intellectual and bubbly skills to work. In an all cumulative point systems the Judges would have then decided who will take the titles of Miss International Bahamas, Miss Earth Bahamas and Miss Universe Bahamas.

The evening concludes in a press conference and grand celebration with a number of Bahamian Artist performing at the Coronation Reception.
