WHY DID YOU JOIN THE MISS BAHAMAS UNIVERSE COMPETITION?
Because I think its a great opportunity to represent and expose the Bahamas for the beautiful country that it is.Id also love to be a role model for the Bahamian people and gain exposure.
IF YOU WERE TO BECOME MISS BAHAMAS 2009, WHAT WOULD BE THE FIRST THING THAT YOU WOULD DO?
Seeing that the Miss Universe pageant will be held here, the first thing I would do is start preparation for the pageant because I want to make the Bahamian people proud and try to be the best ambassador I possibly can be for the country....then celebrate :)
WHAT IS THE MOST UNIQUE OR UNUSUAL THING THAT HAS HAPPEN TO YOU IN YOUR LIFE?
I was always known as the tomboy in my family. Upon entering the Miss Bahamas Universe Pageant I could not model, could not walk in heels, never wore make-up, just was not a person that was into the glitz and glamour of pageantry.Now I find myself wanting this more and more everyday because of the experiences Ive encountered thus far. I now find myself much more poised, confident and not doubting that the possibilities for me are endless. That is the most unique experience that I have encountered in my life thus far.
DO YOU THINK THE SWIMSUIT CONTEST AT BEAUTY PAGEANTS DEGRADES WOMEN?
I dont see anything wrong with it for the mere fact that it is part of a requirement for any pageant and a woman should feel comfortable in her own skin whether on stage in a swim suit or not.
GIVE AN IDEA OF WHAT YOUR NATIONAL COSTUME WILL BE AND WHAT DOES IT REPRESENTS?

IF YOU HAD TO RESIDE ON ONE OF THE FAMILY ISLANDS IN THE BAHAMAS, WHICH WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
Well Ive lived in Nassau all my life, so if there was one island Id want to live on it would be Abaco because my family origin is from there. In the Sea of Abaco I can count the dolphins that swim or climb the historic steps of the lighthouse in Hope Town, or collect sea shells on soft, warm, palm-fringed beaches. I just love Abaco and all it has to offer which is more than its sun, sand and sea.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COLOR AND WHY?
Aqua, gold and black. These are three colors that depict our national flag. They each represent and mean something totally different. The aqua represents our pristine, crystal clear waters. The gold represents the sun. And the black represents the strength of the Bahamian people and is also my favorite color. To me, black is mysterious, sexy, and sophisticated. These are all character traits that I wish to acquire throughout this pageant.
TELL VIEWERS A LITTLE ABOUT THE BAHAMAS AND WHY YOU LOVE IT SO!
Well its my country of origin, I was born and raised here. The Bahamas consists of 700 islands and cays that has alot to offer to the world. We are known as a tourist destination. Each island has its own special qualities. Andros is known for bone fishing, Bimini is known for game fishing, Eleuthera is known for its delicious pineapples, pink sands, and glass window bridge, and Abaco is known as the sailing capital of the world. Those are just a few examples. Bahamian people are very cordial people to strangers and and neighbors alike. I love my country, not only for its sun, sand, and sea, but also because the Bahamian people, no matter what island you are from, are like one big family.
